Breeding Season Has Begun!

Breeding Season Has Begun!

The prolonged wet year is finally looking better with the nice weather eventually making an appearance. I've jumped back into work at full speed after finishing up my uni exams and its pleasing to see the paddocks looking great now after some TLC with the sprayer and mower.

Foal alarm hires have been flat out for the first part of the season I've been itching to meet this seasons crop of my foals whilst everybody has been welcoming their arrivals. It feels like it's been a long wait for our first foal of the season with our mares lined up a bit later than usual, but finally we had our first arrival this week! Dahlia RF is by Daminos and out of Ellen NZPH (Untouchable M) - making her a 3/4 sibling to my special Dynamic RF!

Mare scans have quietly begun this week also with the first client mare being inseminated, and my own mares will be in for scanning soon. We have room for more client mares for the rest of the season for anyone wanting all vet visits to be taken care of, or alternatively the mare crush is available for walk-in visits too.

With holiday season just around the corner now is the time to be making arrangements for your horses. With our own foals being due over the Christmas to New year period I will definitely be around for all holiday care and rehab services. We can cater to your needs whether you'd like your horse to just relax in a paddock, or continue his normal routine of stabling with turnout and exercise options. Please get in touch to discuss further and make a booking.
