Foaling Down

Take the stress out of foaling down your mare by having it all taken care for you.

Mares are individually paddocked and monitored with CCTV cameras.

Mares are assisted where needed during the foaling process and monitored until all milestones have been achieved. The mare will be milked initially for the colostrum quality to be tested, and the foal will receive a full bottle prior to standing up.

All mares coming for foaling down must have received the full course of pneumabort-K (herpes) vaccinations at 5, 7 and 9 months gestation. 

Foal handling is available for mares staying here longer for breeding services.
