Just like that the summer university break has drawn an end and I am back in Palmerston North for year two of vet school.
Things back home in Kaukapakapa will be business as usual with our super team of staff taking care of things. Holiday care and rehab bookings are continuing as usual, so don't hesitate to enquire about availability. In addition to this, Ella is looking forward to running walk-in treadmill bookings alongside the vitafloor (our newest addition to our facilities which we are very excited about) - this is all set up on our services page now for bookings.
Our fencer is making great progress on some fencing alterations to get us all set up for extra capacity during next breeding season, and a truck loading ramp is going to be an excellent addition for departing mares & foals. We are currently taking bookings for foaling down during dates between November and end January.
It has been a mad run to the finish line ticking through horse sales and breeding work but we've finally got there in the end. Last Monday we said farewell to our very flash 3yo Cahoot RF. I was super lucky that Collette managed to pop out her wonderful colt Up To Chance RF on Friday morning. And on Saturday morning I did my last successful pregnancy scan to draw an end to breeding season before hitting the road to Palmy on Sunday with Tessa and Burley.
Please note that whilst I am away I may be less prompt at responses during uni hours. If you are contacting about rescheduling please take a look in your booking confirmation email (subject 'Your upcoming event details') to find a link which will let you reschedule. This is always the best way for managing your bookings to ensure changes are done before our cut off time.
