Terms of service
By engaging in a service, booking an appointment, or by entering the property the following terms have been agreed upon between the Client and Rose Flats Equestrian. All spectators entering the property with the Client are bound by these terms.
FEES:
1.1 The Client must pay the relevant fees to Rose Flats Equestrian for providing the services.
1.2 Payment of fees is due at the time of booking and must have cleared into our account prior to arrival. Rose Flats Equestrian Limited 02-0492-0220658-000
1.3 If the Client chooses to engage in additional services other than what was booked the Client will be required to pay for these additional services as per the price list or as quoted in writing.
1.4 If additional horses attend an arena/round pen booking you must notify us within 6 hours of the booked time finishing to arrange payment. Lack of contact will result in a $5 admin fee when we send the payment request.
1.5 In the case of non-payment from previous visits the client will be required to pay all outstanding money owed first before the booked service shall be provided.
1.6 Rose Flats Equestrian has the right to refuse services if payment has not been made.
1.7 If payment has not been made within 7 days of the booking a late fee of $5 will be charged at the discretion of Rose Flats Equestrian. The late fee shall accumulate every 7 days until full payment including the late fee(s) have been received.
1.7 For invoices payment is due by the listed due date. Overdue invoices shall incur interest at 2.5% per month or part month.
1.9 Payments overdue by 60 days will be referred to Baycorp for collection. Any fees incurred in collection/legal costs on overdue accounts will be the Clients responsibility.
1.10 Any damage to equipment, or the property shall be charged to the Client at repair or replacement cost.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE EQUINE:
2.1 Horses coming onto the property of Rose Flats Equestrian must not be suspected of carrying an infectious or contagious disease, or have been in contact with other animals suffering from such diseases. It is highly recommended that horses be kept up to date on strangles and tetanus vaccinations.
2.2 Stallions may not be bought onto the property without prior written consent by Rose Flats Equestrian. Any such stallion may be asked to leave if Rose Flats Equestrian deems it to be unsafe. Stallions shall not be left unattended and cannot be let loose in any of the yards.
2.3 Horses acting in a way that may harm itself, its rider, other persons or the facilities may be asked to leave at the discretion of Rose Flats Equestrian.
2.4 Horses may not be left tied up to floats or trucks if it is going to paw the ground or damage the carpark area. Yards are available for use if necessary.
2.5 Horses shall not be left in the yards if they are going to chew the wooden railings.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE RIDER & FACILITY USERS:
3.1 All riders are required to have filled out a Facility Use Declaration form prior to riding. This must be signed prior to your first visit and covers all future visits.
3.2 Riders confirm that by using the arena they are not in breach of any medical instructions or declarations. ie have not had a concussion recently or have not been instructed by a doctor to not be riding.
3.3 Riders jumping without supervision do so at their own risk.
3.4 Riders must ensure their horses hooves are thoroughly cleaned out prior to entering the arena. A hoof pick is provided outside the arena.
3.5 Riders must wear a certified helmet at all times whilst riding on the property.
3.6 Riders and any person handling horses must wear appropriate closed in shoes at all times whilst on the property.
3.7 Any damage or breakages to the arena equipment or property must be notified of immediately, and the client will be invoiced for the replacement or repair cost.
3.8 Jumps must be left as you found them. If you alter a related distance you must change it back to how it was previously set.
3.9 Riders must clear all horse manure from the arena, yards, wash bay and car park area.
3.10 Users must maintain safe practices at all times. Rose Flats Equestrian has the right to ask facility users to leave if unsafe or dangerous practices are observed whether on the ground or under saddle.
3.11 The carpark gate should remain shut at all times.
3.12 Clients shall not enter any of the stable blocks or horse walker at any time without permission from Rose Flats Equestrian. This includes the cross ties.
3.13 Clients may not venture off anywhere on the property other than the arena and car park areas whether on foot or with a horse, this includes the stable blocks unless with permission from Rose Flats Equestrian.
3.14 The Client will be charged for any veterinary costs incurred as a result of injury to Rose Flats Equestrian horses (or authorised grazers) caused by the Client accessing unauthorised areas including stables/yards/paddocks/races or acting irresponsibly.
3.15 A clean up fee will be charged if the Client leaves the carpark, yards, wash bay, arena or surrounding areas dirty.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
4.1 The Client acknowledges that horseback riding and equestrian sports can be extremely dangerous. Horses, irrespective of their previous behaviour or characteristics, may act or react unpredictably based upon instinct, fright or lack of proper control by the rider or handler. The Client understands that risks and dangers are inherent in horseback riding.
4.2 The Client acknowledges the possibility that they may have an accident while using the facilities that could injure them. The Client assumes full responsibility for such a possibility.
4.3 The Client assumes full and total responsibility for the horse they are riding or handling.
4.4 The Client will be liable for any damage caused by themselves or their horse to any equipment, fencing or infrastructure.
4.5 The Client agrees they shall not hold Rose Flats Equestrian responsible for any loss, damage, costs or compensation (either direct or indirect) which may be suffered by themselves or their horse in relation to the use of the facilities.
4.6 The client is highly encouraged to notify friend/family of their riding plans if riding alone.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
5.1 The Client acknowledges that Rose Flats Equestrian is classified as a workplace and all Health and Safety procedures must be strictly adhered to by the Client when on the property.
5.2 All accidents or injuries, whether on the ground or under saddle, must be notified to Rose Flats Equestrian immediately and our incident report filled out for our records.
BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation/rescheduling notice period:
Arena & round pen - 12 hours
Treadmill, vitafloor & weighings - 24 hours
6.1 The Client acknowledges that bookings are non-refundable.
6.2 Payments held in credit (such as from a cancellation or overpayment) shall expire twelve months after the credit was issued. Please note credits are not automatically processed - please contact us to get one issued.
6.3 The Client may cancel or reschedule their booking and incur no added charges if notice is greater than the notice period listed above (ie at least 12 hours prior to your arena booking). Payment will be held in credit for the next visit.
6.4 Cancellations or rescheduling within the notice period listed above (ie less than 12 hours prior to arena booking) or “no-shows” are classed as a missed appointment for which the Client will be charged in full. In the event of multiple horses being booked for one single time slot there will be a credit for the additional horses.
6.5 For avoidance of doubt; the timing of cancellations/ rescheduling is based on the time this is actioned in the booking system. The best method of doing this is via the rescheduling link in your booking confirmation email. Text, messenger and emails are likely to incur a delay in being read and actioned, please take this in mind especially with last minute changes.
6.6 Any Client who is late for their booking acknowledges that this will still be charged in full. If the Client arrives before the end of their scheduled booking time they may receive a shortened service. In the case of there being a booking for the next time slot then the Client will be required to leave the arena unless the next person allows the Client to continue riding.
6.7 Cancellations due to extreme weather may allow for the cancellation fees to be waived in some cases, at the discretion of Rose Flats Equestrian dependent on the severity of weather.

By dropping your horse off for breeding services, agistment or holiday care you agree to those terms & conditions.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER & FIRE AID KIT LOCATIONS:
We have a number of fire extinguishers located in the main shed; the closest to arena is the one in the stable area by sink.
First aid kit is located on the wall above the sink bench in stable area; please let us know when you have use anything so we can ensure it is kept replenished.
