Competition Season Underway

Competition Season Underway

The days are getting longer and its great to see the competition season underway whilst university semester is now half ticked off. It is super busy juggling study and trips to Palmerston North with the horses but we are making it work!

Despite the lack of winter training the horses have kicked off the season right where they left off and I am excited to see their progress throughout the season as they step up to their respective age series heights.

Over the past month and a bit we've had some tough goodbye's farewelling two of our key broodmares Waitangi Hotspot and Capriole who headed off to new homes where they can continue producing wonderful foals. One of the rising 3yo's Brampton who is Burley's oldest foal also found a super home. There is still two more broodmares left and an assortment of young stock on the list for finding homes over the summer in an attempt to reduce the workload left here when I do head down to Palmerston North properly next year.
