Handling - $20/scan dry mare, or $30/scan mare w/ foal at foot

Semen pick up (airport) - $175

The stallion owner/stud master will be kept up to date with the progress of the mare and semen ordered once ready. All required drugs will be administered as necessary.

Frozen semen: Incoming frozen semen handling fee & storage - $150 for up to three doses. All remaining straws must be returned to their appropriate storage facility prior to Georgia heading back to Palmerston North at the end of February each year. Return transport costs are dependent on where straws need to be returned to and how many other doses are being delivered at the same time.

Foaling Down:

Foaling Down fee: $600

Mares will be assisted where needed during the foaling process and monitored until all milestones have been achieved. The mare will be milked initially for the colostrum quality to be tested, and the foal will receive a full bottle.

A vet examination will be arranged for a general check-up and the vet can draw blood for an IgG test if desired.

Other Costs:

Handling fee: $4 per five minutes, per handler; for any additional handling required by the mare or foal beyond the standard services above.

Foal Halter Training: $50/session - highly recommended for all foals staying longer than one week (ie mare being rebred)

Additional costs may be charged at the discretion of Rose Flats Equestrian for mares needing further feeding above the usual rates in order to maintain condition.
